Wes “50” Slaine, a legendary sniper whose name was feared by the enemies of the Northern Alliance. He graduated at the top of his class in the military, setting records that stand to this day. He was hailed as a hero who never failed a mission or missed a shot. He could do anything he set his mind to, a true prodigy, an unstoppable genius. That is story he tells when asked who he is ………unfortunately it’s just that, a made-up story. The truth is not nearly as exciting. He was born into a well-to-do family, never really having any hardships or responsibilities. He spent most of his free time at the range perfecting his shot in case the south were to “rise again”. He read many books on various military subjects but never really got far. All-in-all he had a rather simple and sheltered life, until the bombs dropped. With his world literally falling apart around him, he fled west. While working as a caravan guard he eventually met someone who shattered his confidence as a sniper, John Slatt. Everything Wes did was easily surpassed by John shooting, tracking, fighting, he was simply superior in every way. Even his gun was better, a state-of-the-art NA M-42. Eventually his jealousy grew to great to contain and he began to plot against John. Eventually he succeeded, he had gotten John so drunk he could barely walk then shot him twice in the back. Wes took the coveted rifle and walked away, only to be shot in the back himself. John had enough life in him for one last pistol shot. After John several more times in the chest he limped away. To this day the bullet wound hasn’t fully healed. If that wasn’t enough he began hearing rumors that a harrowed was trying to track him down, fearing it was John coming to his revenge Wes fled again, this time all the way to Junkyard. At first he tried to lay low, but eventually the rumors died down and Wes began selling his services again, hoping to move up in the Junkyard.
